“The dearest and most lovable child in fiction.” – Mark Twain
This is a classic – a story about an orphan who is sent to Green Gables, which she imagined to be the home she always dreamt of. But was it? The book, originally published in 1908, has now become acclaimed as one of the world’s greatest children’s tales. You’ll find lots of adaptations, sequels and spin-offs that prove how good this story is. If you’re looking for a younger reader-adapted version, look for junior classics versions.
